Marathon Course Description

The 26.2 mile out-and-back course starts with a loop through Riverstone. The course continues down
Northwest Blvd. to River Ave., around North Idaho College, then through scenic City Park, down Lakeside turning on 7th Street, then South on 8th St. to Lakeshore, then to 14th St., turning on Lost to 17th St., then to Young, then turning on 19th St., then to Mullan where the course follows the Centennial Trail along Lake Coeur d'Alene to the turn around at Higgins Point. The course is relatively flat, however there is one significant hill in the later half of the course.

Half-Marathon Course Description

Same as the Marathon Course but there will be a Turn around at 6.55 mile mark of the Marathon.

5K Course Description

The 3.1 mile course also begins and ends at Riverstone, along with the full and half Marathon. The route makes a loop through Riverstone on to the Centennial Trail until the turn-around. Proceeds from the 5K run will benefit ALS Association Evergreen Chapter.

Be sure that your bib # is visible at all times to make photo identification possible.

Race Shirts

The Marathon and Half Marathon shirts are long-sleeve wicking fabric. The 5K are short-sleeve cotton shirts.

Photographer

Please make sure your bib number is visible to the photographer so that identifying your photos will be possible.

Time Limit

The course will be officially open for 7 hours: from 5:30am until 12.30pm. However, the finish line will remain open until 1:00pm.

Water Stations

The course will have water stations every 2 miles with Gatorade available for the second half of both races. Carb-Boom Gel will be available on the marathon course.

Weather

Race-day temperatures have varied from a rainy 42 degrees to sunny and 87 degrees.

Age Groups

Marathon Age Groups: <19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Half Marathon Age Groups: same as Marathon with the addition of 17-19 age group.

Timing

Chip timing will be provided by AA Sports. Marathon and half-marathon runners packets will include their timing chip. If you will be using your own, please indicate the number on the registration form. The 5K Fun Run/Walk will not have official times.

Awards and Divisions

Marathon and half-marathon finishers receive a long sleeved shirt and medal. 5K Fun/Walk participants receive a short sleeved shirt. Post-race food tent is open to marathon and half-marathon runners only.

Special Awards for the first male and female overall finishers, first masters finishers, first wheelchair finisher, and age group awards (medals)3 deep in 5 year increments from 20-24 through 70-74 as well as under 19 and over 75 for both events. Half-marathon will feature an additional 17-19 M/F age group. Wheelchair awards 3 deep.
