Refund Policy
2012 REFUND POLICY:
Option #1) 50% REFUND - UP TO 30 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (before April 27, 2012)
Refund requests must be requested via email to (director@cdamarathon.com) and refunds will be issued at 50% of the original entry fee (excluding online registration fees) until April 27, 2012. After April 28, less than 30 days before race day, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis with emergency situations highly considered.
Option #2) DEFERMENT TO THE FOLLOWING YEAR
Entries may be deferred and rolled forward to the next year’s race. Deferments are valid for only one year with a one-time use only. Deferments must be submitted via email (director@cdamarathon.com) at least 30 days before race day. Deferments may be transferred to another party with the approval of the race director via email.
Race Shirts
The Marathon and Half Marathon shirts are long-sleeve wicking fabric. The 5K are short-sleeve wicking fabric shirts. Full marathon finishers receive matching wicking fabric beanie.

Please make sure your bib number is visible to the photographer so that identifying your photos will be possible.
Time Limit
The course will be officially open for 7 hours: from 5:30am until 12:30pm.
Finish Line closes at 1 pm
Water Stations
The course will have water and Hammer HEED available every 2 miles. Hammer Gel will be available on the marathon course and half-marathon course.
Weather
Race-day temperatures have varied from a rainy 42 degrees to sunny and 87 degrees.
Age Groups
Marathon Age Groups: <19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Half Marathon Age Groups: same as Marathon with the addition of 17-19 age group.
5k: <19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Timing
Timing is provided by Milliseconds Sport Timing. Marathon, Half-marathon, & 5k timing chips are pre-attached to bib numbers. Timing chips are disposable.
All Races will be timed!
Awards and Divisions
Marathon and Half-marathon finishers receive a long sleeved technical fabric shirt and a finishers medal. 5K Run participants receive a short sleeved tech-T.
Special Awards for the first male and female overall finishers, first masters marathon finishers, first wheelchair finisher, and age group awards (medals)3 deep in 5 year increments from 20-24 through 70-74 as well as under 19 and over 75 for both events. Half-marathon will feature an additional 17-19 M/F age group. Wheelchair awards 3 deep.
5k Awards: New this year male and female overall finishers as well as age group awards.
